One litter tray filled with Fresh Step litter lasts as long as 30 pounds of the leading clay litter. Recommended litter-tray replacement varies by the number of cats using the litter box, however. For one cat, replace the tray every 20 to 30 days; for two cats replace it every 10 to 15 days; for three cats replace every 7 to 10 days. Toss the old tray away without seeing, touching, or smelling messy waste.
These are by far the easiest to use litter box refills I've ever used. I have two cats and I've tried several different automatic and manual litter boxes. None of them were as easy as this or as good as keeping the litterbox smells and tracking down to a minimum.
I have found the ScoopFree Fresh Step automatic litter box and the refills to work very well. My cats are happy and my nose is happy.
